He was born in 1971 in Karabük and completed his middle school education there until his final year, when he transferred to Kadıköy Anatolian High School. He left the Leatherworking Department at Istanbul University in his second year to pursue a career in music, which turned out to be a great decision. Today, when one thinks of electric guitar, he is one of the first names that comes to mind. Besides his own band, Metafor, he worked with several other bands and played on their albums. He contributed to both the albums and stage performances of Pentagram, mesmerizing us ever since.
For a long time, his guitar had a smiling face on it, which is fitting since everyone who knows him agrees that he is a cheerful and humorous person. Since 1997, he has been performing with Şebnem Ferah in concerts and on her albums, arranging many of her songs for guitar. His perfect harmony with Şebnem Ferah in every concert, along with his guitar solos, continues to captivate us.
His first band, Metafor, performed various metal covers. After that band disbanded, he continued his career with Disgrace, another metal cover band, with whom he released a cover album titled Discrazy. After Disgrace disbanded, he joined Murat İlkan's band, Cherokee, as a guitarist. Following the dissolution of Cherokee, he continued his career with Pentagram. He initially joined Pentagram in 1992 but left shortly after, only to rejoin the band permanently in 2000.
In addition to Pentagram, he was the guitarist for rock artist Şebnem Ferah for approximately 21 years before parting ways with her in August 2017. In 2008, he formed his own band, Metoboy, and in 2016, he released his solo album Vakti Geldi.
