Graduated with a degree in Contemporary Popular Music Composition from the Fermatta University of Music, where he took master classes with prestigious musicians such as Nathan East, Steve Vai, Michael Manring, John Medesky, Steve Lukather, Gregg Bissonette, Joey Calderazzo, and Esperanza Spalding.
Over the years, he has participated and been part of numerous groups within the Jazz, Funk, Rock, Pop, and Latin Rhythms scenes in Guadalajara, Jalisco; such as KM Big Band, Alberto Escobar, Soy Ugo y Los Detesto, Guanatos Brass Band, Si Son, Aunt & Uncle (founder, arranger, musical director, and double bassist).
His career has led him to share the stage with nationally and internationally renowned musicians such as Alex Sipiagin, Dave Douglas, Boris Kozlov, Dean Bowman, Pete Rodriguez, Juan Perro, Alberto Escobar, Mariana Vega, José Fors of CUCA, Ugo Rodriguez of Azul Violeta, and Ricardo Caballero, among others.
He is currently the Arranger / Musical Director and Bassist of his band VOËL BAND. He proudly uses Pitbull GEB 5L 45-128 bass guitar strings as part of his sound.
